My name is Janet Whelan and I have been interested in complementary therapies and all forms of natural health for as long as I can remember.
I started my official training however in 2003 when I took my course in Reiki level 1.
Since then I have completed all levels of Reiki upto Master/Teacher level and I then went on to study Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Thermal Auricular Therapy (ear candling) and Swedish Body Massage. I am also qualified to provide manicures and pedicures which I was surprised to discover are also very beneficial therapies either by themselves or alongside other treatments.
Each treatment I provide is unique to the individual clients needs and all therapies complement each other, therefore if desired I can provide a customised therapy specially for you incorportating one or more therapy. A full consulation would be taken first and initial treatment in your prefered therapy and we will then decide what would be best for your needs. For example; some reflexology could be introduced into manicure or pedicure treatment, or Reiki with Indian Head Massage.
Need a day to yourself? Want to explore complementary therapies? Need a recharge? Yes? Join us!! On the 6th April for a REJUVENATION DAY
at Gîte Les Coquelicots
with a choice of 2 therapy sessions (one individual and one group) of around 40 minutes and a chance to relax in this beautiful house with private courtyard, pool or just take a walk locally with other like-minded people.

The treatments I provide are holistic and complementary therapies and in no way serve as a substitute for professional medical advice, examination, diagnosis or treatment. I do not claim to cure or to diagnose any medical condition and I am not qualified to give professional medical advice.
I advise that you should seek the advice of your doctor or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Whilst there are many benefits to holistic treatments you should never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it.
Janet is an excellent reflexologist and I highly recommend her therapies. After a session I felt completely relaxed and "untangled". Janet has a calm and compassionate approach, leaving you feeling very cared for and free to just simply rest for a while. As I write this my feet are yearning for the gentle foot massage she gives as part of the treatment, heavenly!

Janet is very much the complete healer and is compassionate and sensitive to people's problems. I go to see her regularly and have really felt the benefit of her treatments both physically and emotionally.

A range of different massage pressures and rhythms are used in this treatment which can provide instant relief from tension and stress symptoms and induce a state of calm, peace and tranquillity and also promote high levels of alertness and concentration.
This is a seated treatment working on the upper back, neck, shoulders, upper arms, head and face. The massage is performed through light clothing or directly onto the skin with the use of oils.
A treatment using oil will provide additional conditioning benefits to the hair and scalp. Usually coconut oil is applied but olive oil can be used instead if preferred. It is best to leave the oil in your hair overnight and wash out the following day to gain optimum conditioning from the oil. Be prepared for your hair being oily after the treatment if using oil, so its not advised before a night out.
